WHy is it that no one on here seems to like them?

What gave you that impression?  A search here will reveal several owners and some recent ones.  Personally, a dealer here picked them up as a line sometime in the last year or so, they look like good spas.

I don't know there just seemed to be an under tone. I can't put my finger on it though.   I am glad to hear other wise!

Hey Jaymi,

I've been here a long time and I've never seen a negative post on Hydropool. They may not be known as well as some other manufacturers (yet ;)) but I'll put Hydropool up against any other brand out there for overall quality and features. We just don't have the marketing budget of others but each of the last 3 years we have grown 30%. We are one of the fastest growing spa companies in North America.

Not at all my dear! I understand it's a big purchase and having 100% confidence in the product is a must. No worries there... :)

Thanks for your kind words. I'm actually heading down to Toronto tomorrow morning to visit head office and I'm meeting a new major dealer I set up in Winnipeg there.
If your tub is still at the factory, I'll carve my name in it for ya! :D

I recently looked at their website and was impressed with their product line. Not knowing where they were located, I requested a catalog.  I was surprised a few days later when the catalog and a nice letter arrived Fed Ex. Although they don't have a dealer anywhere near me (I'm in South Carolina) they offered to ship me a spa and promised to find someone local to service it.

I'm not interested in purchasing a spa I can't wet test, but I have to say I was impressed by their offer to do everything they could if I wanted to buy one.

Hankster; Meet me at head office in Toronto tomorrow and we'll get you looked after. I'll fill any of our spas for you and you can wet test until you're a prune! ;D

I purchased my hydropool in oct of 2004 and have nothing bad to say about it, I have not had anything go wrong (except for me mixxing the chem's wrong). I give hydropool 2 thums up and if I was out in the market to buy again I would get another hydropool, some of my selling points  were the cup holders, the ice chest (built in) the filtering system, and the way I fit into the tub. I own a 738 platnum.

Hey Steve, I don't know what dealer development partner means, but if Hydropool is thinking about expanding their territory, I can only say South Carolina is virgin territory for a decent dealership.  Anybody who has the zillions of dollars necessary to open a dealership could do very well, as apparently none of the current dealers understand a thing about wet testing and excellence in sales.  The things I read about on this board make me so envious, things like towels, dressing rooms, showers, and refreshments are just unheard of here unless you're interested in a Cal Spa.

I purchased a Hydopool tub Oct/04 I went with their Serenity elite plus line which gave me a larger ,2 motor tub but not their unique filter system. Ineeded the capacity but didn't want to spend over my budget. It has been a GREAT tub. The standard filter system has been very easy to maintain(after I learned how)and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. The tub is used every day ,even twice a day by the 5 people in our household.    bobhol

We have four major brands in Sarasota FL.....and Hydropools is 1 of them.  We have in Sarasota...Hydropools,Caldera,Sundance,and Hot-Springs.

Tampa and FT Myers carries the other major brands of spas,in my area.

As far as hydropool spas, and my opinion....I feel they make a good/great spa. Visually,I was impressed with the insulation they use,and the bottom drain/clean thing. Also, they offer a pressurized filter cleaner thing, which looks impressive, but my thought too, that it could be a potential problem as far as servicing/cleaning.

Overall,If i was to wet-test/consider purchasing a tub,I would definately check out Hydropool spas.

Very happy/content 2003 Caldera Geneva Utopia owner/user,and hope to be so for another 5 years or so. Will probably purchase another tub around 2010,or if my Caldera lasts longer than my projected 7 years,I'll wait till it totally craps out.

Whatever you decide,as embarrasing as it "might" be,WET-TEST any potential purchase/consideration. Also, find a LOCAL dealer that you trust, and that you feel will be there AFTER the sale,to handle any possibly issues that could/might arise.

As Chas would say,Have fun getting into hot water :)
