Title: 05 optima
Post by: vwbuff on April 18, 2005, 09:39:51 am
What is your thoughts on the 05 optimas.  We live in Mn and are looking to purchase a tub.  This is our first one so I have been trying to get information as far as quality, price, repair costs.

In our area we have shopped around to find a dealer who is well respected.  I just want to see if we are getting a fare price for our region.  $ 8,213.94 Loaded w/ tax.

Any information would be great!!!! :D ???

I don't know what is included, but that looks like an exceptional price and you say it includes tax?  '04 or '05 with any other options?

Why did you not put a deposit on it yet?

Based on what they sell for in my area, that seems like a very good price.

If you don't mind me asking- what part of MN are you from?

05 Optima here is 8500 W/O tax.

In my opinion, the Optima is an awesome spa. I would get it but it is a little big for my sunroom and for my use. We will mainly have 2-3 people at most in the spa at one time. Beacuse of this, my wife and I opted for the new Majesta which is also part of Sundance's 880 series!! We can't wait to get her in our home! Enjoy the Optima, you will love it!

That's a great spa for a very good price.  We have a 2004 Optima and love it.   The quality of the Sundance Spas is one of the reasons we purchased one.  Sundance has a great reputation and I'd put them in the top 3 or 4 manufactures out there.  After seeing the changes from the 04 to 05 I wish there was a way to upgrade.  The only thing missing when we bought ours was the waterfall.  It was something that we really wanted but we loved the Optima so much it didn't matter.  Figures that they add one about 8 months after we bought ours.  In any case I think youl'll be really happy with that spa and it's a good price for what you're getting.

Good luck and let us know what you decide.

Ken

Rochester, eh.
In the metro here, HOM furniture has acquired the Sundance brand from whomever had it before.
They aren't exactly the least expensive players on the block, but they seem to be committed to the line, and the store chain has some bucks behind it.

We ordered one 3 weeks ago, so that's how I feel about them ;D

But since it isn't here yet, I can't say much more. We wet tested a 04 model, so I have only seen the new waterfall feature on web sites.  This will be our first also.

In our quest for the "best spa" sundance is way up there.

Going to wet test the 05 Cameo and the Optima again this week.

It is between Artesian and Sundance.....

You would not be disappointed with a Sundance at all in my opinion!

Thanks everyone for the imput.  We are going to wet test this friday.  I hope it fits our need.  You have a nice forum here with great information.  I will keep you posted if and when I get a spa.
Again thanks for all your input. ;)

Brewman is right!  There is no "if" in spa buying, it can only be "when"!!!

"When" you wet test, you will know why!!!   ;D ;)
