Title: 2005 Marquis Epic, WOW...
Post by: hottubber on March 16, 2005, 10:25:27 am
I just looked at the Marquis Spas Dealer Site.  :oThe

new 05 Epic looks is now ready to order, it looks

stunning.

Dealers take a look, I think you'll be pleased. I

ordered a few, site unseen. This will compete nicely

with the Hot Spring Grandee and the Sundance Optima.

Any feedback on this NEW model ???.

Yes ...It is going to a very cool and unique spa ....4 tri zone valves ....Its going to have a post area ....and than as soon as they give the green light thats its OK to post about it .....that seat that I think will be an industry first....If you ordered I think you should have it in about 2 weeks ......they should be shipping around the 26 ...

Had to re-read your post.  The Dealer's site.   :P

Would it violate your code to post a picture?

Bill....

I think since it has not yet be released by Marquis that it would....For me personally until they make it official the seat that I mentioned I would not feel right about mentioning why it is different....But it is going to a very nice spa and I think from what I have seen from a therapy standpoint simply outstanding.....

Chas,

I knew you would find a way to still make the HS

Grandee beter than the Epic. It is going to give them a

run for their money.. :P Especially the price. ;)

That Adirondack style chair does look pretty cool, but I heard the price is going to be a substantial amount higher than the Euphoria.

yeah... but... that anti-gravity seat where you lay upside down and get a complete front and back body massage is out of this world!

Actually if you have been reading about price increases in spas this year from "most manufactures" the increase over the Euphoria is well within that range about 6% more than an 04 Euphoria.......

Do you know if the Epic is any deeper than the Euphoria?

it should be very close......the dimensions are the same but Marquis has been able to get more interior room with the same foot print, Also to note Marquis did something that is unusual for them and that is to list both its fill line gallons (450) and also it max gallons (600) ...many list what their spas will hold while Marquis have listed theirs only to the normal fill levels...

The Destiny will be replaced by the NEW 05 Euphoria. I

understand the Euphoria will have the same footprint

as the Destiny does now, I am not sure if it will have 2 -

160 GPM pumps.

It will be a high powered smaller spa for Marquis.

I still am looking forward to getting the Epic model.

Why would they use the same name "Euphoria" for a smaller spa?  I don't get it....

I guess they use the name Euphoria because it has

been a name in the line for quite some time. The Epic is

also a name that Marquis had when they were Pacific

Marquis back in the early 80's.

The EPIC will not compete with anything when it comes to hydrotherapy.  Comparing the Grandee to the EPIC is not realistic.  The Grandee competes with the Euphoria only.  No, spa in the industry will allow the total flow of each pump to concentrate on quadriceps(thigh), feet, calves, hamstrings, shoulders, knees, lower lumbar all of the back for that matter.  The largest footwell in the industry and it looks like it might ACTUALLY seat six people with 12 legs fairly comfortably.  The post is what will take it to the next level.  No spa can take 160 gpm and work on hips/thighs.  It will be true hydrotherapy freedom.

I feel sorry for competitors who try to compete with this spa for therapy purposes only.  :'(

kyle,

Have you wet tested the Epic?  ???

Are you saying it is much better than the Grandee?  ???

If so, watch out for Chas... :o

As far as I can tell/see all of the Marquis models have one thing in common: You cannot have all the jets on in the spa at the same time.  I would imagine that this would be the case for the "epic" as well.  Please correct me if I'm wrong.  I agree that Marquis has few equals when it comes to strictly hydrotherapy, but Hot Spring, Dimension One and Sundance are still all in the same class as Marquis.

Jason,

I agree with you..That all of the makers you mentioned build a fine product....You can get therapy in all seats with the Marquis the difference with theirs is that ...You can focus therapy like upper back for example with their diverter or tri zone valve.....and move water to hit different parts of your body in the same seat but there is an overall therapy position which allows for all seats to have jets operating....As someone who thinks the Epic is going to be a fantastic therapy spa .......I can appreciate Kyle enthusiasm ....I just wish it were a bit more tempered....

I would never say the EPIC is better than say a Grandee, however, I feel that the design is far superior to most in terms of body targeting with maximum flow.  Every spa has it's own strengths, but from what I've seen the Epic is going to be fantastic.

Running all the jets.  Every Marquis can run every jet in the traditional seats in the two pump for the exception of the foot therapy seat in Reward.  However, the design is to be able to run a jet/jets in every seat for crowds, but still have intense isolated therapy for the 98% of usage which is for 1 or 2 people.

Yes, they're all great! All low risk purchases.
