Title: Hydro Spa
Post by: Q on February 17, 2005, 01:20:51 pm
Hello all.

Had a knowledgeable customer come in today. Been here before and I know he lurks in this forum while he's doing his research on hot tubs. In that case:

"Hi Mr. Drover!"

He had an offer from Hydro Spa to get a tub up here in Newfoundland from Florida. He was considering this but was wary of the Hydro Spa lifetime warranties. They even had it on plumbing and parts! Immediately I became suspicious. The best warranty on plumbing and parts that I have ever seen is 5 years.

After a quick google search I found very unfavourable things said on the rh tubs forum.

And after a quick search of this forum for the names Bill Becker and Hank Thomas to show me a huge number of entries, more unfavourable things.

Terrible product, unsavoury business tactics, FLAG ON THE PLAY.

In short anyone who is thinking about Hydro Spa, think again. Shopping for spas on the internet is risky at best.

You might want to be careful with posts like this.  The place in question is Hydro Spa Outlet out of Florida.  There is a reputable brand of hot tub distributed in the US and Canada called Hydrospa (see http://www.hydrospa.com  )and they are not the same.  Steve, one of the Factory reps is a frequent contributor here and I'm sure your post will draw his attention.

I believe you are referring to Hydropool based in Mississauga. Steve has been in contact with us and we are planning on carrying their line soon.

Hydro spa is the one in Florida that you mentioned and the one that the customer had an offer from.

Actually, Steve is with HydroPOOL (or is it Hydro Pool) but I too get confused with the Hydro Spa, Hydro Pool, ....

I'm certainly not above confusion and occasionally am dazed.
