Was Marquis Spas ever manufactured in Pennsylvania?

The parent company was Wexco, the spa name was Pacific Marquis. Manufactured in York, Pa.
I will NEVER forget the name MOBAY. Mobay was the backing that they used on their acrylic, it was almost like Altair Plus. I don't remember why this name still sticks in my brain, but I can remember the sales rep., Mike who used to tell me why this was so good. To this day, I don't remember why it was so good. :-/
So... to answer your initial question...YES ;D

Yes they were! In fact they also had a facility in Ft. Collins Colorado but they have always had the factory in Oregon They never moved that.

Am I the only one that finds iit ironic that a spa made in PA would have Pacific in its name?

I thought they used Pacific because their main operation was in Oregon.
Now that they are ONLY in Oregon, they lose the Pacific, go figure... :-/

I knew I wasn’t winning anyway.  In the early 90’s, the guy I bet took a tour of the factory in York, PA.  I just didn’t think it was Marquis who manufactured in that facility.

Actually I wouldn't pay the bet on a technicality.... The factory in PA was Pacific Marquis not Marquis Spas. ;)

That would be enough for the IRS....
