That is, if my wife doesn't kill me when she finds out I'm bringing the laptop....

We leave tomorrow morning for VACATION!

Do people ever reply to their own posts?

Hmm.

Enjoy your trip Chas!  My husband and I have been to Maui on two occassions.  We stayed in the Wailea area.  Two restaurant recommendations:  Nick's Fishmarket and B.J.'s Chicago Pizzeria.  B.J.'s overlooks the Lahaina Harbor and has awesome pizza, pasta, and salads.  Nick's Fishmarket is where my husband and I dined on our wedding night.  It is located in the Fairmont Kea Lani Hotel.   It is fine dining at its best.  (We saw Joe Montana and his family while dining there.)
Aloha!     8)

Well, we're here (on Oahu) and it's a beautiful day. Almost as nice as at home...

My daughter wants to go to the Beach! We live at the beach - we can do that at home!!

Mrs. Chas caught a cold, and is snoozing. She says that yes, she knows she can be sick at home. She also knows she can sleep at home. She also knows that I can go take a drive while she naps...

Get this: no broadband in the room. We are staying five days here on Oahu before we go to Maui - and to connect, my son and I have to go down to the Lobby and use the WiFi. They wanted to charge me $10 per day for that privelage - uh, no ...

This is the Doubletree. Not the best place I have stayed at - and we got two rooms on the back side of the building !!

Going to drive into Pearl Harbor, with a stop at AloMoana Mall in a minute.

No spa here. (http://doubletree.hilton.com/en/hotels/content/HNLKADT/media/images/HNLKADT_Doubletree_Alana_Hotel_Waikiki_home_left.jpg)
