My goal is to one day have him post a thousand words for every one I post. We got close this time, and it's certainly not over, but I think there is still room for improvement. His ISP has got to be loving this!

He's been screening forever. His propaganda machine needs to have final say. Its also common for him to let you post and once he's not winning the debate he wipes out the entire thread. His messiah complex thrives by living in the little website he's created.

I must have misread that, I can't stand staying there very long and only read hit and miss posts.

That other site is the biggest joke. If you check out the postings you'll see it averages about 10 per YEAR, with half of them coming from himself. He's been trying to get it going for a few years and trying to hide the fact that he is behind it but you know he has no ability to reign in his lunacy so its unbelievably obvious that he's behind the curtain. ::)

hahahahha, I totally missed the fact that he mentioned my name in one post........ glad it was pointed out to me though. Apparently Chas and I come from the same mold, and since I'm older, that would mean Chas was molded in my image....

I can just imagine how humbled, impressed, and honored he must be feeling.

I got the same challenge and found that it drives him nuts to ignore him...

I don't care to try and get him to change his opinion on anything. He does us all more good with his volatile, maniacal rambling in the long run than he would if he were more agreeable....

I doubt Chas is molded after you..... I'm pretty sure that they destroyed that mold once they saw what it produced ;) ;D ;D

I wish we could extend an ivitation to this person to join other web boards - I think he would be an asset.

These people amaze me and if you really want a picture of a similar person in history look at Rasputin the mad monk. He was intelligent but very evil and did everything in the name of God. Sound familiar?

I could go through the hoops to send him a copy of my DD214 and or letters, certificates, diplomas and awards showing my background and history yet how would it matter? He would still believe that because I didn’t sell Haven that I was lying. Besides, I think I’m better off with Jim not liking me then trying to win his favor as someone that unstable and volatile doesn’t make the best associate.

Just a note though… If your shopping for a spa and come across his site note the tone that he speaks to everyone with and understand that if you purchase from him, when you have a problem with your spa (and you will) he will not be any less tyrannical, blaming and obnoxious than he has been on his forum, to customers that disagreed with him (documented on more than one website) and all of the industry professionals that have wasted time and effort to get an honest explanation out of him as to how he does things. Someone that spends as much time blaming, challenging and disputing the who world cannot suddenly shift into customer service mode without looking for someone to blame for whatever issue….

Funny thing is - he made 99% of those posts himself... in reaction to my posts, or one of the posts by another of you fine folks.

I've seen corporations go after web sites for milder things than this. Do they even pay him any mind, since he's so small potatoes, or do they worry that some people may take his rantings as true, and avoid the company and it's products?

was wondering this myself. In this day and age, image and name brand is everything, which is why I expect him to go under. I think he is is own worst enemy.

Maybe with his attitude, Watkins expects him to fade away and won't waste the time on him.

I have never seen copies of those letters, only heard about them. I have heard that some folks have gotten a helpful reaction from his ISP over certain things that were posted, but I haven't had any luck with that - yet.

My understanding of the law - and I have no formal training in law - is that Watkins would have to prove that his actions cost them money. As you can imagine, he tends to be one of their best advertisers: just look at how often the words "Hot Spring" end up on his forum, and not just buried in the text but blazoned across the titles of posts and articles.

We/they have just had two very good years - amazing increases in sales. Last year we made 38 major changes to the HotSpring and Tiger River lines, and Caldera continues to improve all along. New dealers are signed on just about every week, and markets which are not doing well get personal attention. I have a strong feeling that the executives at Watkins Manufacturing and the board memebers at Masco are not all that worried about him.

I did send a copy of the recent post with the threat in it to the legal department as well as his internet provider and the web wizards at Watkins just in case anything ever came of it - but frankly I'm not that worried.

WARNING: One of Crackpot Jim's intentions in all this lunacy of late is to FINALLY get people to post on his other message board (spa shopper guide). He's been asking Chas to debate on on that forum for one reason. He's been desperately trying to get that forum going for a couple years but instead it goes month after month with ZERO posts. Jim is soooo obvious in his intentions on this. DON"T post at that other web forum. NEVER, EVER post there. He current forum is obviously a sales scam for his product. The other forum is designed to disguise that Haven Spas is behind it as you'll see if you look carefully. It’s another way for him to trap unsuspecting spa shoppers and we can't be there to help him suceed in getting his second website of deceit active.

In the meantime, I just found out his "dainty" wife sent a person on this forum an e-mail at his home calling him an a-hole in her best sailor impersonation (I’m sure its because he won't agree with Jim's crazy rants). What a convenient world he lives in.
