He says this spa is a death trap,and he's convinced a child will die because of the filter etc etc.

Probably because they (Watkins) sell more spas in a day than he does in a year, and he can't stand it.
I think he caters to the conspiracy theorists, or the people who think they are saving money by purchasing online.
Either that or he was turned down by Watkins for a job or dealership.
What suprises me is that Watkins hasn't gone after him for the bizarre accusations he makes against their company and product. Unless he's such a non player in the industry that they laugh him off.

After reading about all of ya'll ragging on this guy over the last few months, I finally went and checked him out.
This clown cannot be a real person. He has got to be some kind of internet prankster. There was a guy on Glock Talk a few years ago that was posing as a "mall ninja" that yanked everybody's chain and really got people stirred up in the firearm community. This guy is either carrying on in the same vein or is a certifiable nut.
Either way, he is so full of bull that I am laughing myself silly at his histrionics. :o

The answer is: Certifiable nut!!
Unfotunately some trapped by his website of deceit and start believing his lies (and tehy are just that, lies, not just exaggerations). Here is a site two of his disgruntled customers started after they made the mistake of trusting "The Spa Deceptionist".

Auto offered to wet test his spa. When he asked on his site....he was bashed and insulted ! Auto was even threatened to be sued...LMAO..what a joke !
Anyways, I replied..very nicely too I might add, and instead of HIM posting my response..he chose to email me off the site and ask me to call him. I would rather be dead than call someone with such little morals. He posts what he wants to post. He makes himself look like a some kind of king ...and doesnt let the innocent people respond back to his accusations !

Guess my point is,when he has been confronted by me and others,he never answers the call,and then tries to put a spin on it. How can a person ever gain respect,when he has such blatent disregard for others,and continues his "hateful" antics,time and time again.

I believe that was P.T. Barnums secret,and even though he was dealing with potential suckers,he sealed the deal with a kiss.

The man eats, drinks, and sleeps Hot tubs. So he writes the stuff down and somehow thinks what he writes down is like the encyclopedia of Hot tubs instead of just some stuff that some guy wrote down. Articles instead of sales pitch. His passion for the industry will be his demise if he don't figure out that 99.9 percent of the people who have internet contact with him think he's a goof ball, and he sells tubs on the internet, oh-boy, good stratagy. I do not think he will ever realize either that he's not any smarter than hundreds of thousands of others around him, and millions more he doesn't even know..
Flow rates and thermal-dynamics in a condensor unit for an oil refinery, would seem like a more important mission than a tiny bit of PVC in a hot tub. Where no one cares any way. They just want to soak.

Perhaps, disturbing came to my mind. If I was a new consumer with no knowledge and I came accross his site looking to buy a tub and checking his forum, I would run! It has to hurt his businss more than help it

Help him or hurt him it doesn't really matter. He is insignificant in the skeem of Hot Tubs. How many thousands of tubs are sold each year? He sells how many? It will never matter. 99 percent of the people just don't care. World peace, world hunger, global warming, teenagers, family, friends, relaxation those are some of the things that matter and JA isn't on the list.

I like empol's answer though I think mentioning him occasionally here may be good for the casual spa information gatherer who may be surfing through the forum.....
