Title: Nature2 and hazy water - Chemistry problem?
Post by: pantherkat on January 02, 2005, 09:42:45 pm
Our new spa has been running for about 6 weeks now.  Recently the water has become hazy.   We use Nature2, Brilliance shock weekly and PH adjuster as needed.  Do we need to use Dichlor or other chemical in addition to Nature2 to clear the water?  ???   Thanks  :D

If you suppliment more with Dichlor you should be all right. As far as ahte water goes now, hit it with 1 to 2 TBS of dichlor and it should clear up.

Also try to leave the cover open and run the jets with the air controls on for about an hour at least once every two weeks to oxygenate the water and let the spa "breath". Believe me it helps.....

According to "Chas' Law," you are two weeks past due for your first water change. I find that a water change at the end of the first month of ownership helps everything to go just that much better. Four months is a normal interval after that.

Also, yes, you are supposed to be shocking with Chlorine once a month or when a crowd leaves the tub.

Did Chas propose and pass this law all on his own? Was it a close vote or did it pass unanimously?

Well if Chas was the (only ) one voting I would say it was unanimous. ;)
