Title: I'm a year older today.
Post by: spahappy on December 27, 2004, 01:12:11 pm
I woke up feeling the Birthday blues. I've had a house full of company since the 23rd and the last ones left last night. I figured a solitary soak was in order and much needed.

I immediately began to feel better. Jack Frost visited last night and everything was coated in thick white frost.

As I was soaking and marveling at the beauty of nature, something remarkable happened. My 16 year old daughter brought me a muffin and coffee and joined me for an hour long soak!

She's busy with school and work and a busy social life and I'm just plain busy. It's been months since the two of us have been able to use the tub at the same time.

We didn't even use the jets much.  We talked and talked about everything and anything. Boys, friends, school, work, what she thinks her first car should be, my age and related ailments :'( and made fun of the relatives, and laughed and laughed.

It was the very best Birthday present I could have gotten :D

She even promised to clean her room! ;D

Happy,
Just remember, your like a fine wine or a well made violin; you only get better and more valuable to us with age! ;)

I look at it this way, each year I age I have to remember......It beats the alternative ;) ;D ;D ;D

BTW, the definition of middle age is that group of people directly between your age and the oldest person you know (Like Doc for example!)

I wish there was an option here to make the font size about 6 pts. larger... I just can't see this small text anymore.

I've got a program that actually reads out loud the text to me, but even if I turn the volume up as high as it goes I can still only hear a quiet wisper.......

Oh well, my only other problem is how to keep all these young 20-something girls from spending so much of their time with me.... I guess gettin old(er) aint all that bad after all.

You've got a few good years left in you Stuart. Wait until you visit a relative in the "old folks" home and find someone living there who is younger than you; then you can start to really feel old.

(as if wsd can sing......)
Happy, Happy Birthday, Baby........

It's all relative.....my 84 year young mom is our social director for this New Year's Eve......we'll be partying with the Elks or the Moose or one of those other large, antlered mammals.......and, at 52, we'll probably be the youngest there........aaahhhhh, how youth is wasted on the young!

Ice storms, power failures, car wrecks and now aging!? What’s next, pestilence? What a month!

Happy Birthday Bill! You should feel more alive today than ever. Thanks for sharing some of that "aged wisdom" with all of us.... ;) ;D

Oh yeah, to keep it spa related, hope your spa helps soak out the wrinkles!
