I read about this stuff in another thread. Can you guys give me some input? Does this stuff really make a difference over a dichlor regiment? Is it worth it, and if I use it, can I drop it w/o problems? Does it need to be added on a fresh fill? Thanks in advance! :)

Yes it needs to be added on a fresh fill. They have a whole start up regimine. Is it worth it, only you can be the judge of that. Those who have been convinced it is good and works, love it, but they all use dichlor to suplement it. Personaly I am sticking with just the dichlor and not adding another expense.

Doc sells the Natural, which is very similar to Eco One, on his site with some very good reading on how enzyme systems work. These are different than the Scum Gon or Spa Perfect enzyme products. They are bacteriacides that are used with a low dose of sanitizer(though some claim they do not). I would use it in the same manner that I treat my spa with Nature2...a small dose of dichlor after use. Two things have kept me from trying enzymes...keeping a higher pH than my spa manufacturer recommends (enzymes want a high pH) and the need to rinse filters weekly.

I do not think it is worth it. I had them send me a this stuff and drained my spa and started over. In the end I still had to add some chlorine. So I did not see the point. They were the ones that suggested the chlorine for really good results.

Weekly? I use 1/2 the recommended dosage of ECO One and only have to rinse my filters every 6 weeks.

Do you use dichlor also to keep your spa sanitized and how much does one dose cost?
