Title: superchlorination question
Post by: Elle on December 03, 2004, 11:24:36 am
I just finished superchlorinating my spa (due to rash) and I'm wondering if I should use swirl away before I dump the water?  This will be the first water change and I'd like to make sure there is nothing in the pipes from the factory, etc.  Do you think it is a good idea or overkill?

I can't see the point in using it after 1 fill.

I agree with the above.   From what I have heard from this forum and my dealer you really only need to use that once a year.  Some people only use it if they actually have problems or can see drastic built up in their lines.

I just did my first water change and I just emptied the water and ran the hose in my filter compartment with the drain still open to try to get most of the old water out.  I then wiped the shell down and filled it back up.  I tell you fresh water is so nice.   Even know you think your old water is clear and clean...new water is even clearer.
