Title: Blue water spas?
Post by: gobucks145 on November 27, 2004, 01:34:36 pm
Anyone own one? The company is selling them on ebay.
bluewaterspas.com  I'm thinking about buying one. Any ideas, suggestions, etc. Go to the website and let me know what you think.   Thanks

Well I don't own one, have never seen one, and haven't heard of them.

But I did as you asked, and went to the web site. Here's my response:

Not a major brand name. "1500 spas in the last two years alone" is clearly not in the big leagues.

How long have they been around - just the two years? I couldn't find that on the web site - may have just missed it - but for the sake of your warranty, you want an older company.

Lots of small jets. This is an easy way to get the jet count up and a lot of off-brand companies do it. I can't tell from a picture whether or not they would be comfortable, of course niether can you. So wet test.

I don't like neck collars. They are usually fine for a very limited range of hight.

The control system is a generic - Hydro Quip most likely.

I have seen that exact skimmer used in the Santa Barbara spa, and others, and it's a pain to get the filters in and out.
