Title: where to start.....
Post by: Doug_R. on November 17, 2004, 03:31:28 pm
Am starting a search for hot tub.
Am looking for a 3-4 person size, not too big, with
whole body lounge section. one with colors (not white)
, adjustable jets, color light options.  Live in southern
  CA area.  Thanks for help.

Try the Coleman C461-Standard Deluxe or Premium

http://www.colemanspas.com

Or the Dimension1 Seville, Aurora HP or Aurora HP

http://d1.com

EVen though the site shows the tubs in white, there are other colours

Everyone will have spas that pretty much fit your description.  But I'll throw this one in:

Let's not forget to mention the D-1 Triad II and Companion HP, The Hawkeye eclipse, and Caldera Kaui either.

Stuart,

www.hotspringdealer.com

Try this list if you want to see some dealers websites or if you just get bored and want some ideas.  There are probably like 100 dealers on there and I could only find 2 or 3 that I thought were professionally put together.  Tell me which one you think is the best.

Well you would have to know the whole story but this guy has never been in the spa industry nor anything related, bought a spa for himself and then started working towards a dealership. He has been tireless with his research and planning and now is rocking along quite well. I more proud of where the website came from then just the website...

My opinion would be to go to the websites of Hot Spring, Caldera, Marquis, Sundance and D1 and use their dealer locator to find the nearest dealer to you. Visit each one nearby and see what you like. Wet test your top 2 or 3 choices. Good luck and stick around this site and others for info.

Mendocino101 has done an awesome job and should be commended with his product, store and pure business sense. This guy has produced an end product that we could all learn from if starting a new spa business. Take the time to browse this site and you'll see nothing has been done half a$$.

Way to go my friend and I wish you all the luck in the world as I'm sure all of us here do! You deserve and will have great success with your business!

Steve

Also the sweetwater line
I'm happy with my one-day old Cayman
since you're in southern cal --stay away from the hotspring dealer in the valley (lifestyle) they were total a-holes and wouldn't give me my "refundable" deposit back. Yes, I was stupid to give them the deposit in the first place. I should have listened to my friends who bought their hotspring (that they love) but got completely ignored once they made the purchase.

What part of So Cal? There are people here who are in that area and may be able to give you further info but the term "So Cal" in general covers a huge area.

I know it's not on your list, but stay away from Cal Spas!
You'll be glad you did!  ;D
