Title: Hot Springs Moto Massage?
Post by: corvairkid on October 21, 2004, 07:35:14 am
Just have a quick question.  Hoping that all you experts out there can help me out.  We ordered a HS Grandee which has two Moto massage jets.  I was thinking about getting one with the "optional" alternate face plate.  Does anyone have the alternate fae plate?  If so, do you like it?  As always your feedback is appreciated.

Oh, oh, I do, I do!!!

;D

I love my hydro-pulse plate!  It is the first seat I use when in my tub!!!  I love the fact that it really eases the arthritis in my spine!  I like the regular moto-massage, but to me the hydro-pulse plate specializes the jet even more.  I would suggest getting one, especially since there are 2 moto-massage seats (same with my Vanguard) and this will give you 2 different massages.

It is very easy to install.  My dealer insisted that I needed one, and he was so right!

I would recommend it to everyone!!!

Same here. I might just go to my local HS dealer and try one out.

It shouldn’t cost more than $40 bucks.

Ok, I don't know how much it cost, my dealer gave me mine as a bonus for giving him all of the material I had gathered during my research!

Wmccall and Doodoo,

The regular moto-massage plate has 4 large holes the arm of the moto jet goes up and down.  This gives a powerful overall massage along the spine, it affects the whole back by doing this.  It is more gentle pressure.

The hydro-pulse plate has 9 (I think) smaller holes that "snake" or are in an s type shape up the plate.  This forces the water to have more pressure and more specific target of the spine and area of the back around the spine.  I can feel the tension drain out of my spine as it works.

I sure hope that makes sense!  For me, it targets the tissue on each side of my spine, which I must keep a lot of tension there, plus it eases the soreness of my arthritis.

So, if I have confused you even more, let me know!  I didn't get to wet test with one, but if you put your hand in front of one, you can get an idea.  So, Doodoo, go see if you can check it out!!!

I would recommend it simply because it will provide another massage option for you and your family. Enjoy!!

I installed mine myself!!!   ;D ;D

Philips head screwdriver, pop off the little screw covers, (there are only 3 of them), unscrew the screws, take the existing plate off, put new plate on, screw in the screws, pop the screw covers back on, and voila!!!

I even installed mine underwater!!!

There is a lot to be said for options, thats one reason we bought a 6 person tub even though its rarely  4 or more people in it.

We sell them for just under $40, and we let the customer install them, unless they want us to do so on the delivery. It's very easy to install.

Hey Corvair,

Will the hydropulse plate go on your corvair and make it go faster?

These cars got a bad rap for flipping over. But if you look at any SUV, you'll find a much higher incidence of flippage.  Or - flippification, or flipp-overage, or whatever.

I wish I had the money Ralph made on that book (Unsafe at Any Speed).
