Title: Heard of Leisure Bay or Dynasty
Post by: cdenyer on October 05, 2004, 06:24:45 pm
I am currently looking at a Hot Tub from Leisure Bay and one from Dynasty Spas. Does anyone know about these spas? The factory for Dynasty is close by. The Leisure Bay spa seems to have a really good warranty. Both are priced about the same.

I just responded to your post in the other forum...so won't waste your time repeating myself :)

I will add,There are several owners of Dynasty spas on this board, who appear to be happy with their purchase.

Take your time, and feel comfortable with your buying decision, knowing in the back of your mind, you made an educated buying decision.

FYI....avoid the spa deceptionist out of Colorado.

Due to a pretty limited budget set by SWMBO, I was looking at the Venetian. This model would go just a little over my budget of $4000. I also looked at a Leisure Bay Sierra for about the same money.

I never heard of him but I can surely say That The Spa Specialist makes a wonderful spa!

The Spa Specialist is commonly referred to within the industry as The Spa Deceptionist. One would be very wise to avoid his sales trap of a website though its best to hear who he truly is from a few of his past customers:

While we're on the subject, I wonder how he'll explain this one away. Good, reputable dealers don't get taken to court by their bank.

Now this sounds like our friend Jim posing...  Interesting that 'Mr. Happy" just registered to make this post...  From everything that I've read there's nothing wonderful at all about his 'customized' Phoenix spas.

Unless you think that paying thousands of dollars more for some tin foil and an electic fan, no real warranty, no UL or ETL listing, no local support wonderful.  But for the extra money you do get to be his friend.  And you also get to host wet tests for total strangers.  How Wonderful.

LOL brewman :)  I liked this...."And you also get to host wet tests for total strangers."

That might be the only good thing in owning a CaVeN.
I would insist on only allowing wet tests to females between the age of 18-44.....be physically fit,and show no concern as far as wet-testing the spa without clothing (hate dealing with foam issues, naturally).

My wife makes a mean batch of Kool-aid.....when offering a potential sucker of a CaVeN a wet-test....Is there a particular flavor of Kool-aid that is best?

Are these 2 customers doctors, lawyers, nuclear scientists, or chemical engineers?  Since those are his customer base, I mean.

Not that I owe you any explanation for anything, and I may answer some of your post later if I can find the time, but for now know this:

I am not affiliated in any way with the spa industry.
I have asked Mr. A several direct questions on his product that he has refused to answer.  That was before he got banned from this and a couple other bulletin boards.  Oh, and he also called me an idiot because I dared to disagree with something he proclaimed.

I won't post to his board becase I am of the opinion that he controls what gets posted, so why bother.

He can't post here or at most of the major spa boards because he can't engage in civil debate.

I will post to this board as I see fit.  The moderators here will either remove my posts, or ban me if they believe I've stepped over the line.

Brewman please tell me your affiliation to the spa industry. Are you manufacturing spas? Are you selling spas? Or are you just full of blind hatred for anyone whom is making a positive difference in by the way that brings better quality and value to the customer?

I have no connection to Jim or the spa industry whatsoever. I can only attest to what I have read or heard from local dealers and my personal experience. Jim never claims to be the biggest spa dealer. Since when does size of a company determine the quality of any product? How would change happen in any industry if not for a smaller vocal company proclaimed that they had a better way. Look at how small companies brought change and continues to pressure large corporations. Such as what Toyota did years ago to General Motors and to what Transmeta may likely do to Intel.

What direct knowledge of Jim and his company do you have? You seem to be an expert in heresay, he said - she said. Do you expect reasonable people to fall for that?

I began my search for a spa about two years ago. I first went looking to all the big dealers like most people to see what the market offered. I much later began searching the web for possible information which may be helpful. I read this and many other boards daily. I only now after about 1 1/2 years began posting.

I like many have found that the information gathered on Jim's website www.spaspecialist.com to be very informative. I may agree that Jim's spas are not for everyone. But to many whom have had a spa that they thought were the best due to price paid and advertising that was rated to be "The Best" but was later found to be paid for, find Jim's site to be an oasis.

Jim proclaims his spas to be nearly perfect. He constantly thinks of ways he can improve upon his ideas. He says that his spas are twenty years ahead of most others. To much of that I agree. When you are a Pioneer, you are going to take a lot of arrows. How come you hide out on other boards and not challenge Jim and his ideas on his forum? Are you afraid? Many of the "EXPERTS" on this board like to make juvenile comments about him but few have any backbone to post on his site. You all make this guy out to be something  like a nazi, the truth is he is one man standing up for his belief and other's.

Listen Jim, you are not fooling anybody here.  Why don't you get lost.  Nobody here wants to hear what you have to say!!!  Remember - There is a reason that you've been banned from most spa forums on the internet.

After re-reading "Mr. Happy's" (cough-cough) post to me, I can't believe I didn't see it until now.  That post is from our banned buddy.  It totally reads just like the stuff on his website.

I am ashamed that I didn't catch it till Htfun posted.

Color me red.

It's LP (little Puddin) the mindless follower and he's back from walking dogs I see. He comes here to play and interact with adults once in a while. If he offers you cool-aid, don't take it.
Ever notice that Conjuna belittles anyone that uses a "fake name" yet all of his lost sheep do exactly that when they come to other spa forums to find out what the real world is about.

I guess if you fondle with "Mr. happy" long enough, you take on the name? ???

FYI... Having the MUTTS has nothing to due with dogs. It's just a comment of someone who's underwear is on too tight making them awful cranky for no apparant reason. ;D

Yeah, I caught that post.  I was referring to your occupation.
