So I have a new hot tub coming and I'm wanting a new cover lift. Pretty much all the cover lifts I have had are that basic bar that goes over the cover, you fold the cover over it and swing it up and off. The problem with that is the stowed cover is always sticking way up in the air and blocking the view on one side of the tub. So I'm looking for a lift (or other device) that stows the cover without blocking the view.
The tub is out on its own so no worry with clearance issues.
I've seen the little one with fold out arms with the rollers that stores the lid next to the tub like this one.... (https://www.thecoverguy.com/products/cover-lifters/shelf-removal-systems/tcg-roller-cover-shelf/)
And then the one that sits beside the tub you pull the lid into it then fold it down.... (https://www.amazon.com/Cover-Valet-NP509-Lift-Caddy/dp/B0015Z417W/ref=pd_lpo_86_t_2/138-5821829-2932614?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B0015Z417W&pd_rd_r=8796f453-0d45-4c09-ae52-89357188b8d3&pd_rd_w=wyDlM&pd_rd_wg=WG1dK&pf_rd_p=7b36d496-f366-4631-94d3-61b87b52511b&pf_rd_r=CEMCCRF0N2CS3TCB42CR&psc=1&refRID=CEMCCRF0N2CS3TCB42CR)
And then I just found this one, which is that basic bar with a twist... (https://hottubspasource.com/products/vision-lift-spa-cover-lifter)
I am leaning toward the last one, a bit more expensive but seems stronger and thus more durable, the first one seems a little cheesy, and the middle one doesn't look very strong, so I'm hoping someone here might have some first hand experience with one.. or maybe something I haven't seen yet! Remember it needs to be unobtrusive and not spoil my view.
Thanks

I have the cover and lift that is compatible with the Hot Spring. It does not have the bar that runs across the top. It mounts to the cover, itself. I’ve been fine with it because it puts up a wall of privacy for us. If you don’t care about the privacy issue then that’s a topic I can’t address. If you have neighbors, then remember that you may not be able to see everyone/everything by having a cover blocking 25% of the view, but if you have nosey neighbors, this also keeps them from seeing you if the position of the cover is planned out.
BTW, I’d like to see this view that you want 360* for.

I got the Vision Lift Boomerang cover lift for mine. It has the bar across the top but when it gets the cover to the side of the tub it drops the cover all the way to the ground and out of the way. Easy to install and easy to use it fits what you are talking about perfectly, but that does come at a price. The link below is where I got mine and everything went smooth with the purchase.

Oh, and I got these to protect my cover from the concrete pad when it sits down on the ground.

I've had the set up for several months now and am VERY happy with it.
