Title: Any ideas for decorative finish on concrete slab??
Post by: cmitch9999 on September 30, 2004, 03:19:12 pm
Hi
we are getting ready to pour our slab for the hot tub in the next week or so. Live in Maryland so have some wintertime freeze that will affect some finishes.  Wondering if anyone has any ideas for a do it yourselfer to have another type of finish on our slab besides the usual gray flat one?:??

Thanks!!!

A friend of mine added some brown color to his concrete and did a stamping that looked like brick. It turned out real nice, I don't think the spa has any problem sitting on that as it is still pretty flat.

Take a look at the link below to give you some ideas.  These are just awesome looking.  Most of these are not do it yourself.  There are all types of concrete surfaces, spray on top of the concrete or stamped in and then colored.

Make sure that whoever you have do the concrete work, has the ability to get the finish you want in the end.  IMHO, nothing uglier that plain old concrete.
