Title: Hot springs fibre core insulation
Post by: kies1 on July 30, 2018, 08:44:20 pm
How well does this insulation work in a northern climate. Anyone have experience with it. Seems like a decent way to insulate a hot tub. I know it is the standard insulation in limelight and hot spot tubs. Thanks

As long as you understand a hot tub cost 30-40 bucks a month you will be fine with this choice.

Understand the cost of running was just more curious on this type of insulation. Thanks for the reply. 30 to 40 a month was what I was figuring anyways.

As a dealer, I've been very happy with it.  It's technically more dense than the 1/2 lb foam... but I really don't think you'll notice that on your electric bill.

If anything, it makes the spas heavier to move... but that's an installer issue.

Basically... it insulates like full foam, but it's a loose-packed material.  Which is really easy for our techs to work with in the event we need to.
