Title: Salt System
Post by: crash2018 on May 11, 2018, 08:06:15 pm
I am looking at a Bullfrog A8 that is being offered for $15,300 with a free Blu Fusion salt system, $1,000 electrical credit, and 0% financing for 60 months. I can choose to give up any of the extra items and they will give that cost off the price of the tub.

Does anyone have a salt system installed on their tub and what do you think? Trying to decide if I want the money off or go with the salt system.

If they are giving you a "free Blu Fusion salt system" but allow you to give it up and they will reduce the price by the cost, then is it really free?

I have no experience with that salt system.  My question to you would be:  If you do not get the salt system, can you add it at a later date?  If so, will it cost more to add it later than it would be now?

I had a BF with the Blu Fusion.  It can be added on later, it is expensive, over $1000.  I now have a different spa and use the Frog @ease smartchlor which I would recommend.

I really hate this type of dishonest sales tactics.  You are paying for all of those things.  Nothing is free.  Even the 0% financing is costing you money.  Quite a bit actually.

As for getting the salt system, others may disagree but in my experience (100's of customers with salt systems) they aren't worth it.  They are expensive, the salt is corrosive, and in the end it's just a chlorine generator.  The salt (NaCl or sodium chloride)is converted to chlorine gas.

Blu Fusion is bromine, not chlorine

Thanks for the correction.  Change NaCl to NaBr, but the point still stands.
