Title: New Tub and Deck Pictures
Post by: Buckeye on September 01, 2004, 11:17:20 pm
Here are the pictures that I promised of our new tub and deck.  We're loving both of them.  I wish I could take credit for building the deck myself, but I can't.  Thank you Bill for the webspace to allow for these pictures.   :)

What are those things that look like gray footballs on the front of the tub. Being in Columbus, I suppose they could be gray footballs  ;)

Have you sent a copy of those over to All-seasons? I remember looking through their book of what their customers had done with thier tubs and yards.

Nice deck - and spa.  Great place to relax.

Those "football" things aren't they lights?

Looking again at the pictures in their order, a funny thought struck me.  I'll bet the dog things you did all that deck work just for him/her.  He seems to be saying "Thanks" in that picture.

This is post 777,  I moved to Columbus on 7/7/77, I graduated highschool in '77.  Heading to buy a lottery ticket!

7 is my favorite number.  Good luck with the lottery.

They grey "football" things are in fact lights, just as TTODD1 said.  They are LED and should outlast the tub - according to the delivery guy.  They have photosensors on them so that they automatically come on at night.  They throw just enough white light so that you can see aroung the tub at night.  Great for finding your sandals after a midnight dip.  I gave it a quick try to get a pic one night but getting a good sharp pic under those conditions is almost impossible without a tripod.

When the dog would give the deck guy hell every morning, I would tell him that we are making him a new big dog bed for him.  He seems to like it as much as Daddy.  You must be a dog person to pick that up.

Ps - Thanks for the comments!  ;D

ttodd1,
Obviously no one has told you this yet, don't say the word "football" around wmccall. It makes him lose track of space and time! ;D

Very nice! I love it when people do the decking and fencing at angles instead of just straight. You chose a nice design, and it looks like it was well built.

May you soak long and prosper, and may Sable enjoy many years of laying on her new bed.

;D ;D ;D :D :D :D :D

Fantastic transformation. Love the footballs...

The decktop is ready for my new tub and my dog has already claimed it as his own - he helped mix the concrete for the footings and thinks he owns it! Dog drool makes solid concrete  :P

Buckeye-
Great deck! You will have plenty of privacy to enjoy your beautiful tub. ( I envy how flat it appears in your neighborhood!)

It was nice of you to provide a throne for your dog!

Jan :)

No, I almost feel sorry for the dumb arss. He came into school ahead of his graduating high school class and appeared to be an extra smart kid. He would have been a sophmore Heisman winner and instant millionaire, now he will probably be just a little less rich, unless he does something else stupid between now and then.

FYI, you are remove the r from arss, but you can't say the opposite of fork! ???

Thank you all for the nice comments.  I should have known this would be Sables deck... he thinks everything else inside the house is his - why not outside?

I don't want to get started on that Jack@$$ Maurice Clarett.  I'll save it for another forum.

Thanks again gang,

Buckeye

Ps Chas - I like to think it was well-built.  I think I counted 19 posts in the ground 3 feet deep resting on cement peirs.  Including some directly under the tub, there are around 8 or 10 within a couple feet from the bottom of the tub.  It's lagged to the house in between each joist.
