I am new to this forum! I have wet tested many tubs and have narrowed my search to the Sundance Cameo. Here in Wisconsin I was quoted around $9000 for the tub/steps/ozinator/lighting/lift assist...from two different dealers (The stereo with remote would run an additional 900). This seems high compared to what I have read so far on this and the "other" forum.
I am looking for comparison numbers from others with this tub from 2004 or dealers who know whether I am in the ballpark or not. Thanks!!!

Briguy,
I believe you are in the ballpark. I truly don’t believe some of the prices some have said they have been quoted, but the Cameo should be in the $8,000 to $9,000 dollar price range.

Here is the deal I have on the table now for a Cameo w/o stereo.
$7500 not including tax for:
Cover
Chemicals
SunLift (6472-468)
SunGlow Multicolor Light (6472-646)
SunZone CD Special Edition (6472-845)
Exterior Perimeter Lights (6472-681)
Handi Step (6473-100)
MicroClean Filter (6540-501)
MicroClean Filter (6540-502)
Drink Tray (6472-540)

With tax, I am at $7900. I am pushing for $7500 out the door.
Hope this helps!

So ...... In summary, the spa by itself is $7000, the options are $500, and tax is $400. That makes the total out the door $7900. I am trying for $7500 OTD.

Right...................................................

LOL! As I relax in my tub. ;)
A guaranteed worthwhile investment of the extra few $$ I paid to have my tub in my backyard.

Maybe we should give d/c's dealer the heads up.........

Isn't this the same price d/c has had "quoted" for 2-3 months now? Would a dealer really offer a deal that long?
-
Probably not. Long before this "offer" is accepted, the new years models will be out, with the corresponding price increases, etc.....

Todd,
Why would a dealer go up in pricing? If anything he would go down just to seal the seal deal. Besides I wouldnt buy if he incr the price!
-
well, it pays to shop around...there is another dealer 30 miles in the other direction that is more in line and far less than my original qoutes!! :) Does anyone know what changes are in the pipeline for the next model year that would merit an increase? (or is it simply the '05 designation that makes the $ increase?)
I was informed that the diverter valves were changed within the past month and are much better/quieter; I did wet test a newer tub and was amazed that it was a sundance after testing an older '04 altamar last month which was deafening.

Sigh........! ???
I had written a long diatribe but find that,
Sigh.........! is sufficient :P

Changes or new features may or may not dictate price increases. It's the expense increase in producing a product that MAY influence prices. It's pretty basic. Any mfg. can absorb only so much in costs before raising prices.
It may well be that Sundance won't increase prices in their next model year. Who knows.
My comment was meant more tounge in cheek than anything.
I'm sure that if this dealer was seriously considering d/c's offer, they'd have accepted it by now.

Next year, the Maxxus is going to be their flagship spa. Sundance will be making changes to their spas next year. Unfortunately, you will have to wait till the Aqua Show to find out…
-
Well Daze is just a looker and we have seen them in the past.I see people at work looking at different things but they never buy......I think daze is a 100% Looker and not a buyer.Jt ;)
-
I was quoted $8000 so maybe you should negotiate a little more...

I didn't say he would go up in price I said to have the offer on the table that long and the buyer not taking? I - personaly - think that is the best deal you are going to get with all the extra stuff you are also getting and since it has "been on the table" for 2-3 months. ::)
-
I was the one who said that the dealer MAY go up in price when the new models come out. And IF that does happen, then d's offer becomes even less likely to be accepted.
Dazed doesn't want a spa, or he'd have one by now.
JohnnyT said it a few posts back- he's (or is it she?) just a poser.
