First and foremost, I have been reading all your posts for some time. Lots of great information. Thank you to everyone who does their best to make our lives a little easier with your tips, tricks and advice.
This is my first post and geared more towards the dealers on this forum. I am going to order a hot tub and I would like to know what is reasonable and customary deposit amount. What percentage do most of you request?

50% or close to it. Refundable but they pay a restocking fee if they cancel and it's too late to cancel order from the factory. Which is very, very rare. Should add no restocking if in stock, and they can finance 100% with no deposit upon approval.

Thanks, they are asking for 50%. Reputable dealer. Been awhile since we bought our last hot tub and purchased from stock. Most big ticket items don't require a 50% deposit, but it appears in the spa world that 50% may be case. Thanks again for reply.

Really has nothing to do with a spa dealer.

I require 20, non refundable after special order has been placed. Payment in full before it leaves my store. Most people come in the day before delivery or call in cc payment

Bullfrog dealer I'm fixing to buy from in the Dallas area quoted I could go as low as $500. and it's in writing on the quote. Generated price with $500 down and $2000 down and for 3 year note and 5 year note. For Bullfrog A7.

Looks like you are financing. Does that make a difference?
