Post by: KenH on August 23, 2004, 03:58:27 pm
We are getting ready to buy a hot tub for our sunroom and have Cal Spas and Royal Spas in the area... Trying to stay around $4500-5000.  Any ideas ??????????

Where are you from? I don't know anything about Royal Spas, and a search through the archives here will no reveal good things about Cal. (I've never owned on)

Stay away form both.  Royal uses old technology and very inexpensive components.  A search of Cal will give you a valuable education.

Seek out the local Marquis dealer and look at their Everyday Spa line, Hot Spring and their Tiger River line or Sundance and their Sweetwater line.

Value is more important than price.  Each of the 3 above will outlast the 2 aforementioned brands.

We get a lot of complaints on Cal, Mostly service/Warranty problems.

I also agree Marquis is perfect for you.  Based on what you have told us about yourself, I wouldn't suggest anything else but Marquis.

Wet test, wet test, wet test.  Try a couple and see what works best for you.  Stick with some of the top maufactures and you can't go wrong.

Do you have a Jacuzzi Dealer in your area? If so, check them out as well.
