Title: Opinions on a used South Seas (Artesian) Rio 751L
Post by: aarron on August 20, 2017, 05:13:59 pm
So I have been looking for a tub for the last 8 months and have been ripped off once by a refurb used dealer who never delivered (Still trying to recoup my money).  I have come across a used South Seas (Artesian) 751L 2015 for $2500, and was considering asking 2k.  Looks immaculate but its dry so im not sure if I will get to see it running or not.  Is this a good deal, and a good tub?  Thanks!

Seems like a decent deal but I wouldn't consider it unless you can see it up and running. I think the south seas line is their value line. Do you know what that tub costs brand new?

Thats a good tub should be around 6 to 6500 new. If he could fill it and, show you it running the price would be right

Can you pay after you have it up and running?

Thanks for your responses guys!  I can ask about paying after having it up and running. Unfortunately I would still have to pay to have it moved first, but I think it may be worth the risk

So is the seller refusing to put water in so that you can verify that it indeed works and there are no leaks?  I would rather see it up and running before I both pay for the move and pay for the spa.  Do you live in a climate where it gets so cold it freezes?  How long has the spa sat dry?
