I'm ready to order the spa. However, I think I need to push off the patio/deck project until next year. We are undecided if we'll do a low to ground deck or a paver patio, but finances dictate next year.
For ease of changeover, would I be better off putting compacted crushed concrete inside a 4x4 frame the dimension of the tub and leveled and placing the spa (which has ABS base) directly on top of the crushed concrete? If I do a paver patio, I should be able to dig out the grass around the frame and then build out from there, as long as the tub is where I want it to remain. If I go with the deck route, then the crushed concrete pad could remain below the deck so no need to remove anything.
I do know I don't want to see the 4x4 frame. Anyone have photos of same install?
Anything I should consider?
