I have a chance to buy a year old hot tub for 3500--4000. I've been looking at buying a new Sundance but of course they are costly.
My question is about the brand. Is this hot tub decent or close to the low end Sundance at least? I don't know much about the brand and hate to be buying a 1500-2000 type hot tub that would give me problems.
I'm going to test it filled with water heated and jets running. I truly think they are selling for financial reasons.

Artesian builds a nice spa. And yes as good as the Sundance in many ways.

Yeah, that's in their Tropic Seas line which is not as good as their real Island Spas line, but still a decent hot tub. That price is good if it fully functions. I would definitely consider it.

Thank you both. I went ahead and purchased it to be delivered on Friday. Biggest downside is warranty doesn't transfer but they seem to have reasonable service calls. Its a gamble but everything tested and worked out when I saw it.

I plan on cleaning it and buying a brand new filter for it. Is it okay for me to run chlorine in this tub for now? He was using bromine but I bought a bucket of 1" tablets a month ago for my coleman blowup. I've been using chlorine in that for over a year without problems.

That’s not the type of chlorine you should be using. The tablets are made for cold water pools and are trichlor what you want to use is a granular called dichlor. The trichlor releases too fast in the hot water in a spa.
