Neither is better. A jet pump moves more water across the filter. It is programmed to run as long as you want it to or need it to. A circ pump is quieter. If you want to utilize Ozone as part of your sanitation a circ pump running 24/7 will introduce more ozone to the water. But it is also one more thing to fail.
