Title: Blower pipe question
Post by: Nick92 on June 03, 2017, 03:31:23 am
Recently picked up a 2nd hand spa and been giving it a bit of a refurb, I noticed inside the blower intake pipe there was what looks to be a ping pong ball about an inch up the pipe. Further up the pipe there seems to be some form of valve inbuilt. The question i have is should there be that orange ping pong ball in the pipework, was it added in when it was manufactured as some sort of air limiter/regulator or has it just been stuck in there by the previous owners or a child may have just pushed it up inside of there for some reason.(http://imgur.com/BdmkcGQ) (http://imgur.com/cCpyQra)

It's part of the valve, leave it alone.

Is the blower functioning properly?

Yes the blower is functioning normally.

I was just worried that if that ball was not meant to be in there it could cause the blower unit to overheat, seems odd to have a blower check valve and also the ball in the pipe to regulate, but what do I know :S

Thanks for the response.
