Title: Laguna Bay Hot Tubs - do they still exist?
Post by: Chas on January 29, 2017, 12:14:11 am
I have a customer ( yes, I KNOW I'm supposed to be retired...) who wants me to fix a Laguna Bay tub.

Mother board and several plugs are fried.

Has anyone heard from this company in the past few years?

Help me help them help my customer.

Thanks -
Chas

Spa brand shouldn't matter that much, it's either Gecko or Balboa equipment I would guess?     If it's a plug in the side of the main box type it sounds like Gecko.

They changed their name to Dr. Wellness.  It's that same shady company and they just keep changing the name of their brands to hide from their reputation.

that would be LPI I believe out of Tenn. They make Signature, Dr. Wellness and a host of other brands...junk, can't even get $100 warranty part of out them.  would not recommend them to a consumer or a retailer

If it is the blue gecko pack that uses color coded plugs then be prepared to spend some $$. The blue box with the plugs runs $400-$550. They are pricey and generally can only be purchased complete with heater tube and element. Just look on the right or left side of the box and order the same one. They are very easy to swap in and out if you have slice valves which Laguna usually does.
