Title: Quick question - Weight of hot tub and quality
Post by: simonsez1 on August 28, 2016, 01:44:16 pm
Hi again,

We're about to finalize our decision on either a Sundance Chelsee or a Caldera Salina, (so hard!).  We like both and the prices we're getting are close enough to not matter.

My question (and it may be a stupid one), I noticed from the specs that the Salina weighs almost 150lbs more than the Chelsee, would this indicate that it has better and heavier components, construction, insulation etc…..

Just curious….thanks.

Weight is not an indicator of quality

Agree with weight isn't a indicator of quality. Reason why for the difference is the fiber cor insulation which weighs a lot. Both tubs are well insulated and good tubs. Weigh the merits of each. Wet test each and let that make your decision.
