Title: Water lines white inside. Normal?
Post by: ssteve on April 12, 2016, 05:40:20 pm
Picked up a used sundance capri that's in great shape, tested just fine but the clear water lines are all white inside. Is this typical?

Probably got some gunk built up in those lines. I recommend a purge product, their are several out their try not to get to strong of a formula. A couple are recommended here. I like Swirl Away seems strong but not to strong. Could be because it's available at our local plumbing wholesaler. Be prepared to rinse out the tub a bunch. Make sure to take your filters out. Follow the directions. I use a bit more than is recommended.

Ok thanks. I think I'll run it for a couple months and then do that before I do a water change.

Yup, gotta get in the tub and enjoy it first.  ;D

If you're lucky, weekly shocks may get rid of some of the build up for you. Make sure you don't let the sanitizer levels drop too low...that may be the cause of the build up in the first place.

Will do. The tub came with a floating frog spa unit for chemicals, should I leave that online when I shock it?
