Title: waterproof remote control?
Post by: Dudley_Dawson on July 20, 2004, 12:46:55 pm
This is my first post so.... Hello Everyone!  I've been reading posts for a week or so now.  I'm actually a little late in finding this forum.  I've already ordered my hot tub and it was delivered last Friday.  I haven't found too much bad news about the brand I bought (L.A. Spas).  I have found some good info about them as well.  So, thanks for that.  Anyway...

Does anyone know if there is a waterproof universal remote control available anywhere?  I plan on installing a radio and possibly a tv outside with my spa.  I know, I know, "a spa is for relaxing without a tv" but I'm 26 years old and I plan on entertaining guests at times so a tv and radio would be nice.

Thanks for your help.

Check with the audio specialty stores in your area if you are asking about remote controls for items not built into the spa itself.
I know that Sundance makes a water resistant remote for their spa.  It's not waterproof, but water resistant.

Yeah, I guess I'll try the local Wal-Mart or Best Buy.  I could have specified a little better.  I meant just some universal remote for non-spa associated items.  Thanks Brewman.

The dolphin remote is the same remote used for Master Spas.  It is water proof/ Floating and can be programed for severl other devices.  Check first of course to make sure they have codes for your devices.

Cheers and good luck!

I just put my cheapo radio shack remote in a zip lock bag. Works great but hey if you got the cash go for it. Also check out Crutchfield.com they usually have some amazing gadgets. Good Luck.
