How much time does everyone spend on proper maintainence of the tub?
-
5 minutes 1 x per week. Any more than that and you are over thinking your water chemistry. Keep in mind, your water will never be perfect. Every thing that comes in contact with the water changes its makeup. Air, sun light, people, all affect the balance. Once you have it initially balanced, you should take a one time a week test and make your small adjustments. Sanitizer should be increased or decreased as needed based on usage.

For me, just a few minutes a week to add shock, and sanitizer if necessary. Test only takes a minute.
Several times a year I change the water, replace the filters, and clean the cover. But day to day maintenance consumes very little time.

Yep 5 minutes a week or every other (depending on usage) to test the water and a few seconds to put in dichlor after use. Filter rinse once a month cover cleaning 3 times a year.

What he said, except I rinse filters every two weeks. Your mileage may vary.
