Title: Swirl away -opinions
Post by: wmccall on July 15, 2004, 12:22:27 pm
My tub will be 18 months old the next time I change the water.  My water is typically low in PH, hardness, and alkalinity and I've gotten competent at keeping it within proper limits.

I'm curious to see people's opinions of swirl away to clean the plumbing out.  Spa techs, opinions?  When I take my jets out and look into the plumbing I don't see any buildup yet.  Is this product worthwhile?  It is safe for PVC plumbing or seals?

I use it every time I drain and fill.  It is cheap insurance.  The first time I used it was the most dramatic with foam and gunk.  Now I just get a little gunk.  My jets always work better after using it.  IMO, it is well worth the couple of bucks for a half bottle.

I agree, Swirl away is a great product to use.  I recommend using it at least once a year.

We just got our Optima today and we used the SwirlAway for 1hr on the first fill.  It was amazing how much stuff it cleaned out of a NEW spa!  The filter socks may never be white again, ick.  I'm glad I followed the advice cuz I sure wouldnt want my family soaking in that stuff.  We are getting ready to do our first initial shock in about 1hr.  Wont be able to enjoy our first soak till tomorrow afternoon.

We plan to use Swirl Away on every refill.

That was the selling point, I ordered a bottle and a couple other things to make the shipping worthwhile. A few of my spinner jets are getting a bit sticky.

Couldn't help noticing your little pitch about college football in 50 days.  I can only guess your allegiance based on your location.

This year is going to be different, so here you go...GO BLUE!!! ;D
