Title: New owner of hot tub chemical questions

I recently moved into a new house with a hot tub...

The water has chlorine in it. I want to stay that way. I want to keep the water smelling like it when you are a hotel the chlorine smell.

What would you recommend for chemicals, I just ordered test kits to check the water.

I don't know there are so many brands out there. I would like to order online.

Please help!

A heavy chlorine smell indicates you have a lot of combined chlorine. Every time I go to a public pool I am thinking either the chlorine levels are so high or they have a lot of combined chlorine. Either condition is not good.

Having a slight smell may be normal if you are soaking after you dose.
