Hi all, great forum you have here. I did some searching, and didn't find any reference to this issue.
The heater in my 2009 Jacuzzi J-480 has shorted, and is also leaking a bit. The part number on it is Therm Products C2550-0316tI, like this: http://www.hottubwarehouse.com/remote-heater-assembly-c2550-0316ti?gclid=CNf5-uif_MUCFQqIfgod7Q8Asg That includes the junction box and and wiring harness, which are still fine on mine, and I'd rather save money and re-use them than toss them out. I've found a lot of things that look like just the tube part for half the price of the entire unit, but none of them explicitly state they can be used to repair the C2550-0316tI.
Does anyone know if I can save money and landfill space this way, or do I just have to pony up and buy the complete unit?

You should be able to change the element inside. Should be around 50 bucks

Thanks for the reply. I did see they sell just the element, but mine has visible corrosion and is leaking, so I have to replace the tube part as well.
