Title: Jumper Movement for 60 amp Service on my Jacuzzi J350
Post by: rdbesq on May 19, 2015, 12:52:23 pm
I just purchased a used Jacuzzi J350 which is set to the standard 50 amp setting.  I am in the process of having it wired for 60 amp service.  I have read that the conversion is just a matter of moving a jumper, but that it is laid out in the tech manual which I do not have access to.

Can anyone help me out?

Flava did it in his sundance boyeee.  The jumpers are tiny, get a small pair of needle nose pliers or tweeter, they pull off easily.    Look at the electrical diagram and locate the jumper location on the board.  Follow the logic on the diagram.  The diagram will probably say "on" or "off"  There are little numbers next to each of the jumper prongs. Locate the # of one that has to be removed "off"(if one needs to be removed) and place it over the prongs of the one required for 60amp operation "on".  Extremely easy.

The diagram should be on the cover for the circuit board.

Logic jumpers are located in the top right corner of the panel. 4 rows of 2 prongs each, numbered 1-8 from bottom right to top left. like this...

8 - - 7
6 - - 5
4 - - 3
2 - - 1

When the jumper is "on" it connects 1 to 2, 3 to 4, etc.

The logic seems consistent on the years available on the website as follows....

1-2 ON for 40amp, OFF for 50amp
3-4 ON for 2 pump, OFF for 1 pump
5-6 ON for 60amp, OFF for 40 or 50amp
7-8 ON for degrees in C, OFF for F

So your 60 amp should be 1-2 OFF and 5-6 ON.

How old is it?

I see manuals on spaworks.com back that far, jumper config looks the same. Do you see what I described? If so, when you're up and running, start with 7-8, play with it on and off to see if it indeed changes from C to F....looks it hasn't changed over the years at all.
