Here's what I'm about to buy:
LTE5: Leisure Time Spa 56 Chlorinating Granules - 5 lb
LTRENU2: Leisure Time Renew Shock - 2.2 lb
LTA: Leisure Time Spa Bright and Clear
I've heard you really don't need a filter cleaner but I buy mine from Walmart and soak my filters in them for about an hour each (I have two), then I have a high pressure hose to really clean them off. Is that right? Also, some here don't like the MPS shock from LT because of the buffering.
Lastly, I'm trying to figure out if I should get the Nature 2 mineral or the Spa Frog mineral cartridge They are about the same price. The Spa Frogs come in a pack and require less maintence but the Spa 56 seems to do a better job of cleaning the water. Which one?

You definitely need filter cleaner and I like to soak them overnight. I also think it doesn't matter which mineral cartridge you go with. They both work.

filter clean is much more important than bright & clear imho. Even if you go with Leisure Times "instant cartridge clean" which may not be quite as effective as soaking filters overnight of course, but it is a little more convenient/quicker to use.

The frog is designed for Bromine I believe. And N2 chlorine?
