Title: Hot tub only heats when I cycle the pumps?

Hi all Laguna bay x-6. Bought job 2012. Six seater. Just changed the water and noticed that it only heats up when I cycle the pumps. Any ideas what's wrong or what I need to do? Also I have been using bromine and not happy. Any recommendations on a good all in one product to use to sanitize the water?  Thanks.

Does your spa have a standard/economy mode?  Typically in an economy mode, a spa will only heat during filter cycles or when a pump is turned on.  As far as chemicals go, chlorine would be a great alternative to bromine.

Thanks. It doesn't heat in regular mode. Used to. Just weird.
