Title: Jacuzzi J-385
Post by: NewToSpas on May 28, 2014, 10:17:04 pm
I'm new to Spas but started researching a few weeks ago.  Have been looking at Caldera and Jacuzzi brands.  Haven't received a quote on a Caldera tub yet but met with Jacuzzi dealer today and he quoted $12k + tax for J-385 model with deluxe steps, ozonenator and lifter.  This includes a $500 rebate.   Seems high to me based on what I've read although I will admit that there is minimal reference price info online.   Thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

Hello NewToSpas,

Best of luck with your search. Not sure about the price you were quoted. I think to a very large degree price depends on what area you live in. I really would not put too much stock in what others quote you regarding price unless you live in the same general area.

I do think though that you are not getting the full discount you are entitled to. If you look on the Jacuzzi website, the rebate for the J-385 should be $600, not the $500 you are getting.

Thanks.  I live in MA.  I noticed the same issue with the rebate shortly after I posted but thanks for pointing that out.   I understand that location is a factor but I would assume that the difference would be +/- 10%...looking to see if this quote is in the ballpark.

Thanks again

You can't compare pricing really unless someone bought one this year, not to mention like QB said prices vary.

Jacuzzi just brought it back into production for 2014.
