Title: Replacing complete system
Post by: the boy raymond on March 18, 2014, 09:09:46 am
The problem I have is my circuit board needs replacing and the replacement is ridiculously expensive. An attempt to get the board repaired failed so I am left with a 7 yr old Hydrospa Lexxus hot tub that is filled with cold water. I am attempting to get a better firm to try to repair the board but in the meantime am looking at the feasibility of replacing the whole control system which would be cheaper than a new board. Is it possible to replace what I currently have with a completely different control pack and top-side control panel?

I have done so on my hyrdo spa which is 13 years old

It is not rocket science, and easy to do if you are reasonably handy.

What you need to do is pick up a spa-pac complete with control panel, heater and assembly.

You do need at least a basic knowledge of Electricity and safety, because you have to wire straight to the pac.

Ez-peazy.

Worst thing about it is paying the bucks.

About 550/600, but you get new control panel, heater, board, etc. beats buying a new spa.

Be absolutely certain to kill the power at the panel and at the spa shutoff!
