Title: Hot Tub Jets
Post by: Booties on January 03, 2014, 06:25:58 pm
We have a RainDance Hot Tub purchased from Johnson City, Tennessee.....it's about 4 years I think or a little less...Over the last 4 or 5 months the jets are popping out of their holes while we are sitting in the hot tub...we have tried to put them back in with the hot tub off and we have drained the hot tub, they will not stay...We have tried to contact the company we bought it from and the phone is disconnected, and when I put in RainDance hot tubs in my search bar they are the company that comes up!!! Any suggestion's????? Are they broke????  Thanks Booties :'(

They are screwed in jets , i think you have to replace themhttp://www.ebay.com/sch/sis.html?_kw=6+Hot+Tub+Spa+2%22+Stainless+Jet+Internal+Typhoon+Premier+Raindance+Infinity+Icon (http://www.ebay.com/sch/sis.html?_kw=6+Hot+Tub+Spa+2%22+Stainless+Jet+Internal+Typhoon+Premier+Raindance+Infinity+Icon) you can find replacement over there . If it was made by infinity spa this company went bankrupt few years ago

So is it the jet bodies that are broke you think???? And is this common for a hot tub that is less than 5 years old????

Sorry to say that but infinity tubs were cheap spa , i sold many of them and lost 25 k personnally with them . I would say that it is normal that you start replacing some of them after 4 years

Booties.
Post a picture of the jet after it's popped out, lets see if we can identify it.
I'm particularly interested in the rear part.
Are yours threaded or clipped in.
If they are threaded, what's the state of the threads ?
Jets go brittle with age and chemicals, if they are threaded, then it may be that the jet body has also gone.

If they are clipped, then in all probability, only the clips have gone with age.
I believe there are a number of very common jets which most manufacturers use.
(Why redesign something which already exists and is readily available ??)

It may be possible to purchase the diffuser (rear clip in/screw in section)
I fixed mine for less than £4.00 each.
Search Ebay for words like Waterway poly storm, power storm, maxi storm, mini storm, cluster storm.

Without seeing your exact jet it's difficult to say exactly which one you require, but it's a start.
