Title: I Ordered My New Hot Tub YEAH!!!!!!!!
Post by: kluzo on June 18, 2004, 10:00:35 pm
I made the plunge today and ordered my new Beachcomber 740 ;D ;D.

Now I gotta get moving and build a deck for it  :o

I would really like to thank OnMedic, ZzTop & Steve as well as everyone elses input. It would have been a lot harder with out all the help from you guys. I will try to get pics like doodoo on the final install, or stages of it.

Hey Doodoo can you send your son over to help put the pics on the web  :P

We went with the Denim Blue and it arrives in 4-6 weeks. Seeing that I don't have a deck yet and the location where it is going is on a slop I gotta get busy with that right quick fast! I told them I don't want it ( ???) Till 6 weeks so I can complete my deck for it. I would love to have it some what sunken into the deck but I am still in the design stage right now for the deck.

This site kinda grows on ya. I get the feeling to post my experiances to help others out the same way I was helped.

I'll keep ya posted on the progress & Construction. I'm sure I might have some issues I may need some help on down the road.

Gotta say though after wet testing I had to get the Turbo option. I found that it gave the perfect in-between jet stream. Not to light, Not to hard.... Juuuuuuuust Right!  ;D

Build the retaining wall first and fill it layers at a time and compact each layer. Then set the tub and build the deck around it. This way you get to use it while your building the deck.

Kluzo,

I will have to agree, build the deck after the tub is in place if you are planning to wrap it around the tub at all.

I have all the line drawings for you if you want me to email them to you, including the elevation of the step on the inside. The way I have designed mine is that the deck will be level with the step on the inside, so that you are stepping over the top of the tub onto the step at the same level.

You can email me anytime at onmedic2000@hotmail.com.

Have a great weekend fellow Beach owner!

Steve

First time I seen it, the lounger sure looks short of jets!

 :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

You look at one of the most comfortable, therapeutic spas available and that's all you can come up with?

Lemme guess... your Envoy has a million calf jets going down the lounger? ::)

Calf jets on loungers make an already difficult situation(floating out of the lounger) even more so. Jets that are shooting straight up and pushing you upwards when most of us tend to float out of loungers already, might look impressive, but certainly aren't functional.

Wet test the 740 Gerry and see if you still feel the same.
It doesn't get any better than the 740 IMO.

Thanx Everyone. I can't wait to get it. I was just in my nieghboors Artic Spa tub last night. It is a nice tub and all but I am glad I got the Beachcomber. Personal Preference. I have a guy from the Dealership coming  out and scope the land for delivery & ideas for location. I have a buddy of mine coming on Thursday to help come up with the plans for the deck. OnMedic, I will get in touch with you if you could send over that info it would be great ;D.
