Title: The skimmer has a leak somewhere.

My hot tub skimmer is leaking behind the tub.  I tried to unscrew the face but the back would not budge to squirt sealer behind it.  Can anyone recommend a procedure to separate the back from the tub without smashing anything?

No, but it might help if you could let us know what kind of hot tub it is.  they are all different and someone familiar with that brand my be able to offer a suggestion.
