Title: Installing Audio
Post by: dagboi on May 22, 2013, 11:30:08 am
I am adding audio to my HS spa, the Aquatic AV docking station.  It requires 12v.
My question is this...Is there a place to grab 12V on the circuit board or do I use a 120v - 12v adapter (which I have).
If I need to use the adapter, where do you recommend I grab the 120V off the board?
I am sure there is a standard way that you dealers do this.
Attached is a photo which might help explain your answer.
Thanks.

Use the same flag connectors as the Ozone.

I'm curious about this as well.  Is HS using Chinese components now?  Interesting.

Are printed circuit boards made anywhere else these day?

Designed here, built there. Sort of like Apple products...

We now own our own software, which is very cool. I updated the software on a spa for the first time just a couple of weeks ago: they sent me three files via email (one for Hot Spot, Limelight and Highlife series spas). I simply clicked and dropped the one I needed to a thumb drive, then took that thumb drive and plugged it into the USB port on the new IQ-2020. It loaded automatically, and told me when it was done. Then it verified the new version on re-start.

Cool!

Like Apple products, and any other electronic component you drive, watch or hold in your hand.  It's a new world folks, time to join in.

Chas..what I was really asking is WHERE on the board would be the best place to tap into for the audio power.

Thanks.

Lower RH corner - it is marked: Ozone (black and white).
