I know prices very from state to state, but I paid way less then $5000 less then your quote for a 2013 J-470 in NH. I didn't get the stereo tho.

For that price difference I'll ship it in.
What is the name and address of the place you got your J470?

You also have to take in the fact that you are looking at a J-480 with a Blue wave stereo vs a J-470 with out a stereo.   Dealers have cost, it depends where he is at and what the over head is for that dealer.  Also what are you getting that he did not, lift, steps what ever.  Sure you can order in from where he is, pay shipping then deal with warranty if there is a problem.   Who really knows if his is a 2013 vs a 2012 or an early 2013 floor model.  Both are great spa's but talk to your dealer see what he can do for you before you fly off the handle!

Mine was a brand new 2013. I ordered it in Jan, and got it in Feb. It came with cover, lift, steps, set-up and starter kit. The 470 isn't much different then the 480 other then mine doesn't have a lounge and a few less jets, other then that, there basicly the same. The stereo would of cost me $800 more. But the price I paid and what he was quoted just shows me that some dealers want to make a killing on selling a few tubs, then make less selling a lot of tubs. IMHO Plus it shows there is a lot of mark up also.

Glad you know all about it.  You know what the cost is or what dealers overhead is?    I think the 15,000 is high as well, but I also think he should go in and talk to his dealer and see what they can work out..

No I don't know the overhead, but his price is still over 30% more. Plus Jacuzzi has a $1500 rebate, so his dealer was really asking over $16500, or he forgot to mention it. :o

It depends if the dealer is participating in the promo, you don't have to if you don't want to  ;)

I was told the rebate was $750 not $1500.
After tax the J-480 quote was around $16,250.
The after rebate makes it
$15,500 with tax.
I can't find the retail price and the dealer is not telling me despite
My repeated requests for the retail price.
The dealer told me the Bluewave  retail is $1,250.

He is pretty much giving you MSRP out of the book.  If he's not going to budge I would walk!

For the price difference I can still pay less by offering you Mass. Dealer
$1000 for his troubles.
Do you know the list price for the j-480
Or for the J-470?

I saw the dealer and Jacuzzi MSRP prices on a chart the dealer had, and my 470 had a list of $15170.

I PM you my dealer ##

Where abouts in PA, I can say I had not luck with the dealer in the Harrisburg area.  I don't live close to any dealers so I in the radious I had a few that I visited.  Didn't beat any of them up on prices but got what I considered fair prices from a few and higher prices from some others.  I ended up making my purchase from the dealer the I felt comfortable with, help with wet testing didn't bash any other manufactures (wasn't the cheapest guy, but very close).

Scranton. Did you get a J-480? With Bluewave ?
What did you pay?
Did any dealer give you retail price information?

2012 j-480 no radio.  Most of the dealers did give a list price but none offered a price that high.  If I recall it was around 15k and the radio was a $1200 option.  I paid 12k all said and done.  I felt that was fair compared to all the other brands and dealers I visited.
If you don't feel comfortable about the price they are giving you may want to move on.  You should be able to tell if you are being givin a fair market price.
I visited stores in state college, Harrisburg, Lancaster, Baltimore, and northern Virginia being in the middle of noware, away from any dealer made all of these a possibility.

I was recently quoted $17,000 for a 2013 J480 that includes taxes and delivery fees and no stereo option.  I think this is high compared to what others have paid on-line and would like to know what should this tub sell for with everything included.  I love this tub, but at that price it should be a J495.  Does anyone know if I can go to another dealer in another geographical area and buy it from them if its cheaper, or dealers never take sales away from other dealers territories?  If I could go to another town, would my local guy still service it when it breaks?
