Title: jacuzzi J-235
Post by: SCSpa on May 08, 2013, 06:48:46 pm
We are looking at buying the Jacuzzi J-235. The purchase price is $4250.00 delivered with cover which I think is a decent price. Our only question is does it matter that the model does not have a circulation pump? We would be grateful for any and all advice. We are new to hot tubs but hopeful we can get some much needed hydrotherapy relief soon.

That seems very cheap to me.  How much to add circ pump?

This soudsn like it a used spa pruchase (nothing wrong with that). What year is it? Is this from a dealer store, from an ad you saw, ...? Tell us more.

Circ pumps are advantageous in a couple ways but sometimes the budget you are working with doesn't support everything you might want (better jets, special lighting, better filtering, waterfalls, longer warranties, ...). I'm not sure there are any $4200 spas out there with a circ pump and doubt there are any/many in spas under $6k at all.

It is brand new from a local pool/spa dealer.  Should we ask about adding a circulation pump?

At that price it has to be a trade in or something. As far as the circ pump there are benefits to it, but you should be fine with out it.    Good price as that spa has only been out a couple of years.

It is still in the factory package, not even a floor model. I'm thinking we can't go wrong if it is that good of a deal.

If it's new in the box that is a great deal!    And the circ pump is not an option.

Without a circulation pump will be OK if a hot tub with a 2-speed pump.

I would leave it as is, be happy with the deal and enjoy it for years to come.

That does sound like an excellent price.  I spent 10 years with a tub and no circ pump.

If someone had offered me that price on that tub I wouldn't have had to shop around!

Great price, believable it's NIW.
