Title: This is my final Hot Tubs?
Post by: agapio on May 01, 2013, 02:02:56 pm
Hi All,

After a weeks of searching / reading and visiting this great forum I got to the point that I need to choose between this Hot Tubs and seeking your input as well. What you will choose and why.

All, new: 2013

- Jacuzzi J-365  --> $ 8.800 including tax, delivery, setup, steps, lifter.
- Hot Spring pulse --> $9.800 --> including tax, delivery, setup, steps, lifter.
- Hot Spring vanguard --> $10500 including tax, delivery, setup, steps, lifter.

As for the vanguard, I found one dealer in LA,CA and I am in San Jose,CA that quoted me $1500 less.
So it kindof put me on hold.

Best Regards,

agapio

Let the Jacuzzi guy know you are considering the other two tubs and do the sme with the Hot Spring dealer and tell them you need their best price so you can make a final decision. Theres a good chance one or both will sweeten the deal even if its just slightly. Otherwise, go with your gut and get the spa that you really think is best for you for the long haul.

We looked real hard at the J-365 here in New Hampshire and your price is within $50 of the best "home show special price" I could get to.  Another serious contender for us was the Pulse, and that was in a similar neighborhood price wise, so if it was me, I'd be looking for another Hot Springs dealer.

It seems we're pretty much on the same hot tub wavelength -- so, if you haven't already done so, I'd suggest you might want to take a look at a Caldera Salina. I saw it as a virtual sister tub to the Pulse.  It's another Watkins product so you already know about the quality, and it might be fun to get dealers from the same parent company trying to compete for your business.    That's really what I was doing when I stumbled into a dealer who had an '09 Vanguard, with a 1 year warranty, for pretty much half the price we were planning to spend and we decided it was a really good fit for us right now... (and saving a few grand is never a bad thing in my world)

I know all too well how exhausting this whole shopping experience can be, and trust me on this --you'll breathe a big sigh of if relief once you get there...  I know I did!

Thanks for the update.

I looked at the CalderaSpa and they looks interesting ... hmm perhaps one extra to put on the list.
Will need to check $$$ looks like closest dealer is in Novato, up nort of SF.

tks,
