Title: Jacuzzi J-345 Indicates Overtemp Water With Room Temp Water
Post by: synapse88 on October 31, 2012, 04:56:11 pm
When I first approach my 2004 J-345 tub tub the error indicated is - - - (meaning call the dealer)

When I turn power off, then back on, temperature reads something like 80 or 90, pumps run, everything is normal. But then the temperature starts climbing a degree at a time and is at 105 in no time and indicates over temperature. If I leave it like that it turns into the - - -.

What sensor do I need to replace exactly, and where is it located? If someone can also post a link for the exact part I'd appreciate. I've spent hours trying to get to the bottom of this with no clear direction to move forward.

Thank you for any advice.

Sounds like a bad temp sensor.  Part number is 6600-166

Awesome, thank you for the assistance.

Do you know where in the tub that sensor is located.  I've done some poking around and can't find it.

Thanks!

Remove the filter skimmer and it's in there.  Small octagon shaped thing.
